The early years of
Ehi Silence
The evolution of my life has been a journey of diverse experiences. It has been a very interesting journey through the valleys and hills to the mountaintop. I was born on 25th May 1962 to the family of Mr. Ehiarinmwian AGHIMIEN and Mrs. EHIARINMWIAN Aigbogho of Evbuarhue Village, Orhionmwon LGA, Edo State.
Evbuarhue is a small village by river OSSIOMO about fifteen minutes drive from Benin City. River Ossiomo was not bridged and therefore was a big barrier to the growth and development of Evbuarhue village. The inhabitants of Evbuarhue were and are still farmers.

Childhood & Family
I was born and raised in the village into a family of modest means. My parents were very poor with little or no nickels to knock against themselves. Both my parents were not fully nurtured by their fathers and that was partly responsible for their inability to raise their heads above the waters of life. The highlights of my life in the village include – playing in the moonlight, fetching water from the stream, making farms, and typing rubber to raise some stipends to support my parents.
My dad was very strict with his children, and he drove quite a few lives of discipline into me. There was no Church in my village at the time and the only non-academic education was the cultural values that were imbibed by me. I did not experience electricity until the age of 12 when I visited Benin City for the first time in 1974 to write the common entrance exams.

Education
My educational pursuit has become the pivot of revolution and change that I have experienced in life. I cherished knowledge and by extension – education from my childhood.
I attended AGHIMIEN PRIMARY SCHOOL, EVBUARHUE between (1968 – 1974). This was an eventful period of my life as it laid the foundation of what I am today. Outside my mother’s vehement support, I literally made the funds to finance my primary education through rubber typing.
With no chair and table at home, I studied on the mat throughout my six years of primary education. Sometimes through the night when I prepare for external examinations. I was privileged to have an uncle – Mr. F.G Nodolomwanyi who served in my village as Headmaster in my early days. He became a reference and a mentor from then till today. Through my encouragement, inspiration, and desire to be like him, I excelled and came out with DISTINCTION in my primary school leaving certificate examination.
ASORO GRAMMAR SCHOOL, BENIN CITY (1976 – 1981).
My high school experience was a transitional experience and mixed feelings. The transition from being a village boy with native experience to a city was like a fish out of water in the beginning. I was mocked, embarrassed, and sometimes cartooned. I remembered my first day in the hostel. With no car, my dad carried my foam on his head, my bucket, and other stuff on my head to check-in. The students waited for my dad to leave, and the next two days were mockery and jest in the hostel. I was cartooned in the school journal. That was a pure baptism into city life. Friends, that did not stop me. I came out as one of the best students in the school WAEC and I served as a prefect.
NITEL SCHOOL, OSHODI – LAGOS (1982 – 1985).
My foundation in the field of ICT/Telecoms engineering started at the NITEL school. The school was academically very tough and there was no room to play around. I came out with an excellent NATIONAL DIPLOMA in Telecoms Engineering and was immediately absorbed by the then Nigerian Telecommunications Ltd (NITEL).
RIVER STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY, PORT-HARCOURT (1999 – 2004).
After several years of working and the quest to acquire more knowledge and enhance my capacity, I enrolled in a degree program. Despite the discomfort of combining work with schooling and family, I came out with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree – second class upper division (2.1) in Electrical Technology.
THE UNIVERSITY OF CUMBRIA, UNITED KINGDOM (2013 – 2016).
Again, the quest and desire to enhance my life and business capacity drove me to enroll in a master’s program in the UK.
This was another tough program, but I came out successfully with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Leadership & Sustainability.
About Ehi Silence’s
Career
My Telecoms/ICT career started at a very tender age of twenty-three (23) years old with Nigerian Telecommunications Ltd (NITEL) in 1985, after my graduation from NITEL Training School in Lagos. I was deployed to Sokoto Territory to work in the Long-Distance Communications (LDC) division. Those early days in Sokoto as a young man was very boring for me until I settled down with some friends from the south.
The shifting job was very interesting with lots of flexibility to enjoy personal travels. There was less capacity-building effort due to the nature of the city, but it afforded me some windows to express my youth.
With some scholars from the university and a few army officers and bankers, I and my friends formed a JAZZ Club with me as Lord Mayor. I enjoyed the warm social interaction and fellowship among the jazz minds. It was in this youthful bubbling I met a very beautiful young student that has become my wife and my best friend.
PPC The growth and experiences
PPC Ltd was my second job in Port-Harcourt after moving to the south. I invested eight years (1997-2005) in PPC, but my transformation started within that period. I was given a lifetime opportunity to express myself and my divine endowment.
My boss and the company believed in me, and I was transited into a managerial role that made me what I am today.
The foundational training, I received with some foreign exposure aroused the confidence to start JIREH TECHNOLOGIES LTD.
JiREH Technologies
JIREH TECHNOLOGIES LTD is a divine idea. It came by inspiration. The company was registered in 2002 but started operation in 2005. The business concept was nursed for many years but was held down with fear. The fear of how to survive without salary and what will happen to my family etc.
After several years, I took the risk and plunged into the unknown called JIREH. Today everything is history.
Suffice it to say that everything that starts with inspiration stands the test of time. That little unknown business concept that started in my study eighteen years ago has become a phenomenon, contributing immensely to the development of Nigeria.
Awards and Honours
I’m a recipient of the TOTAL BUSINESS MASTERY AWARD BY BRIAN TRACY IN 2014 and AUTHENTIC LEADERSHIP AWARD BY LAGOS BUSINESS SCHOOL.
About Ehi Silence’s
Ministry
I gave my life to Christ in 1993 in Sokoto through my present wife immediately after we met. She literarily lured me into Church. Church services then were in a hotel by a young vibrant Pastor.
This experience was quite interesting for me coming from a social background filled with upwardly mobile people. In my usual characteristics of never taking a back seat, my zeal soared and took on fire.
When I came over to Port-Harcourt in 1993, I fellowshipped with The Rock-Word Church where I started teaching the word of God and organizing crusades. I joined RCCG in 2002 and became a Pastor in 2010 after several years of dodging the responsibility. My Christian journey so far has been very interesting – though filled with some challenges (particularly pastoring in RCCG).
